The Island of Sardinia

30th July to 14th August 2022

Trails

This trip is a Scouting trip, we have not been to this Island before and we have no idea what we will find on the trails, the trails could be easy or very challenging. We have several trails planned.

Motorway Travelling

We highly recommend the French TAG for the tolls, this is quicker and easier.

If you have not travelled with us before we tend to travel around 65 mph on the motorway, stopping around every 2 hours for a 20 min break then lunch for about 1 hour.

There is no set times, this is a relaxed trip.

Outward Journey

The trip is to meet in Calais on the Saturday Morning for 08.00hrs depart.

We will take 3 days heading to Livorno, Italy. This will involve crossing part of the Alps with 1 night wild camping in the mountains at an amzing location..

If the weather is bad we will head lower down to a campsite.

Ferrys

The ferry's times and prices below are taken from this years (2019) online system

The outward crossing is a day crossing, the inward crossing is overnight due to timing, otherwise the time we would arrive back in Italy and clear the port I would expect to be about 22.00 hrs, and we would struggle for camping.

Homebound Journey

With only 2 days to get back these will be long, although we will stop as normal every 2 hours. Some people may want to travel at their own pace or head off elsewhere, this is normal.
