Morocco Explorer Tour.

IMPORTANT.

This Expedition tour involves more off road and wild camping than the Experiance tour, this tour is more suited to the person who is ok with wild camping in the forests and deserts along with some long days, taking new unknown trails that we have not taken before as we look for new routes.

1. We will travel through Spain at approximatly 65mph, it is a motorways with curently only 1 toll in 2019 being 7.40 euros
2. We travel as a group, in the event of a Vehicle breakdown we do not leave people stranded.
3. Its important you read all the emails we send, as without the correct paperwork we can not guarantee you will be allowed entry.

On this tour we will spend 10 days in Morocco with the remainder of days travelling.

What is included in the cost?

The Cost of this trip is to join LWA on Moroccan Expedition adventure. All other costs are to be met by the client.

What is not included in the cost ?

Any Campsites, Fuel, Food, Ferry's etc all these costs need to be made by the client.

We price our tours for our customer to pay their own fee's as we only charge per vehicle, regardless of number of passengers giving greater flexibilty to you, at some campsites you may wish to upgrade to a room for example, this is normally possible.

Basic Itinerary,

This is just a basic plan, depending on how we travel will depend on if we can add more or need to cut corners, alot of this route is totally unknown.

Day 1 - Saturday
Arriving at Portsmouth for the 8.45 Ferry to Santander Spain.

Day 2 - Sunday
Arriving in Santander Spain at 14.15.
Heading to Salamanca in Central Spain for an overnight stay
Approximate time of arrival to campsite is 19.00hrs
Approximate Distance - 230 miles

Day 3 - Monday
Leaving Salamanca at 08.30hrs we continue our journey south to our next campsite in Southern Spain.
Approximate time of arrival to campsite is 19.00hrs.
Approximate Distance - 400 miles

Day 4 - Tuesday- depart campsite 09.00hrs
Leaving the campsite we first travel to a supermarket to allow stocking up of supplies before heading to the Algeciras Ferry port for the 11.30 Ferry to Tangier Med in Morocco.
After arriving and clearing customs we head to the town of Chefchaouen on the edge of the Rif mountains.

This evening we take a walk down into the old town and through the painted streets of the old medina strolling through the souks, maybe sitting in the main square taking it all in before heading back to camp, by local taxi.

Days 5 to 12.
The next 8 days will be an adventure, the route is fluide and may continully change depending on the group taking us south through the Cedar forest, across the High Atlas mountains using roads, trails, including dry riverbeds, through gorges and along balcony roads heading towards the town of Zagorra, from here we turn south and head into the Draa valley heading in the direction of Agadir, depending on timing will depend how far we travel before turning north and heading to Essaouira followed by our last overnight stop in the town of Asilah, from here the tour of Morocco would have come to an end and now we must start heading on the motorway back north towards Tangiers to Spain then back to Santander.

Basic Overview of route

Day 13 - Thursday - depart campsite 09.00hrs
After the past 9 days of adventure today we Leaving our Campsite heading back to Tangier Med port, to arrive about 11.30, to catch our ferry to Spain and onto our campsite.
Approximate Distance - 65 miles

Day 14 - Friday - depart campsite 09.00hrs

The Reverse of the outward Journey to Salamenca for an overnight stay .
Approximate time of arrival to campsite is 18.00hrs
Approximate Distance - 400 miles

Day 15 - Saturday - depart campsite 09.00hrs

From Salamenca back to Santander aiming for 14.30hrs for the 17.15 hrs ferry .
Approximate time of arrival at Port 14.30hrs
Approximate Distance - 230 miles

Day 16 - Sunday Arriving in the UK at 20.45 we say our goodbyes and all head home.


Accommodation

Basic Campsites and Wild Camping.

Vehicle Requirements

This trip is open to any well maintained 4x4 vehicle with low range. AT Tires as a minimuim.

Each vehicle will require the following in addition to their normal camping equipment etc.

1 full size Spare tire, plus repair kit.

1 recovery rope and shackles
Recovery points front and rear

Compressor, tires will need to be deflated to 16 psi for sand dune driving - we also recommend tire deflators.

1 spade.

Food and Drink for minimium of 3 days.

Fuel cans or extended fuel tank for at least 350 offroad miles.

Emergancy and Insurance

Lost World Adventures is fully insured as a tour guide.

Lost World Adventures carry full satelite comunication and tracking equipment with the ability to trigger SOS to GEOS to get emergency help from a 24/7 global monitoring center.

What is included in the cost?

The Cost of this trip is to join a LWA Moroccan Expedition tour.

What is not included in the cost ?

Any Campsites, Hotels, Fuel, Food, Tolls, Ferry's etc all these costs need to be made by the client.

Due to insurance all our tours are priced for our customer to pay their own fee's as we only charge per vehicle, regardless of number of passengers giving greater flexibilty to you.

Camping:- £6 per night (2 people, 1 tent, 1 car)
Fuel:- diesel:- 0.85p per litre (Morocco)
Total Miles Covered in 2019 (Portsmouth to Portsmouth) :- 3000.
Tolls in Spain :- 7.40 euros (each way)
Ferry UK to Spain:- £650 (including cabin)
Ferry to Morocco:- 250 euros (for 2 people and 1 4x4).
Car Insurance at Border - 62 Euro's (10 days) if you don't have a green card from your insurance company.
Tolls on the motorway in Morocco (if used):- 170 Diram approx (£14.00)

Trip Price:- £795 Per vehicle - (Deposit of £250 to book, Balance due no later than 60 days before departure.
