The Moroccan Expedition - This tour is not a sight seeing tour, if that is what your after please check out the Explorer tour, this tour is more of an off grid adventure tour with mainly wild camping.
We cross as normal into the port of Tangier Med then follow the coast road before turning up into the Rif mountains heading south looking for camps around 5pm each day, most nights will be wild camping, this route is a new untravelled route by us looking for new trails, following our nose. Being more of and Explore, more off grid, if we fancy a night in a hotel or Auberg, then we may stop one night but nothing planned or booked.
We aim to take a slightly different route than normal, as we leave the cedar forest we will be looking for a narrow gorge and follow the route leads us to an old military road heading south towards the town of Zagorra located on the edge of the Draa river valley.
Our plan is to continue deeper into the Draa valley where we will explore the area along with the Anti Atlas mountains, gorges, a walled ancient village perched on a hill and hopefully the area known as the Grand canyon of Morocco,
All this makes for a unforgettable experiance that'll leave you wishing you has eyes in the back of your head to take it all in.
Then the time comes where we need to start heading home, from here we will head to pick up the motorway near Agadir and head back north back to the Tangier Med port heading homee.
